Judith Gallante-Hooper, M.A.S.

My career has spanned decades as an Early Intervention practitioner, classroom teacher, and school administrator, including extensive consultation for Child Development Centers within the military community.

This unique vantage point allows me to serve as a specialized advisor with a comprehensive understanding of the entire early development lifecycle.

I help programs align their daily practices with the nuances of child development, empowering educators to leverage their individual strengths and elevate instruction to a more impactful level.

My goal is to ensure that every strategy implemented translates into meaningful learning and successful outcomes for every child.

‍After graduating from Kean University with a Bachelors of Arts in Special Education and Early Childhood, I began my career as an Early Childhood Special Educator with a major hospital in Newark NJ. The hospital’s Early Intervention Program provided unique medical and developmental services for babies and toddlers that were HIV+, and at risk for serious illness and corresponding developmental delays.

Throughout my career, I have also been a special education teacher in a variety of classrooms for children with complex and multiple disabilities. As my career progressed, I earned a Masters Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I hold a NJ Supervisor and Principal certificate. Before returning to my passion as an Early Childhood Educator and Consultant, I was a supervisor in public and private schools and an Assistant Principal in a private school.

I am most proud of my service as an Early Childhood Special Educator for military communities overseas. These positions with Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) afforded me the opportunity to work with U.S. Air Force and Navy families in England and Bahrain.

Service members face great challenges when stationed abroad. EDIS ensures that their children receive proper screening, evaluation and Early Intervention services to address developmental delays/disabilities when stationed overseas. It was my honor to provide education and support to families and young children in two different countries.
